Cause: Another VPN client activates and the router limits only connection.

Errors: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client

Causes: 1. Incorrect group name and password.
2. The local policy may block the connection.
3. There is another VPN client on the same computer.

Unable to contact the security gateway.
Symptom: when using Cisco VPN client to establish a VPN you may receive this message: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 403: Unable to contact the security gateway.
Causes: 1. an incorrect group password.
2. The VPN client is unable to communicate to the security gateway.
3. For the VPN Client 4.x to work with Mac OS X 10.3 ("Panther"), you must add UseLegacyIKEPort=0 to the profile (.pcf file) found in the /etc/CiscoSystemsVPNClient/Profiles/ directory.
