How to use Solarwinds to monitor ASA connecvity - Step by step with screenshots
1. Download and install Solarwinds Log Forward for Windows a network computer.
2. Add the computer Ip address to the Syslog Servers.
3. Run these these commands on the ASA to send the logs to the server:
- conf t - logging enable - logging timestamp - logging class vpnc trap debugging - logging host <interface_name> x.x.x.x <- Here x.x.x.x means the IP address of the syslog server , for example logging host inside 10.0.220.3.4. Monitor the Solarwinds logs under the Solarwinds application folder.
